Who they were

Clotilde Micheli was born on 11 September 1849 at Imèr, Trento, then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, to poor but deeply Christian parents who taught her to trust wholly in God and help anyone in need.

As Mother Maria Serafina of the Sacred Heart she founded the Sisters of the Angels, who still teach children and young people and care for the sick. Always suffering physically, she spent her last years at Faicchio.

The miracles

For beatification

Sister Michelina Acocella, of the Sisters of the Angels — November 1999

A healing of the sick sister, following prayer to the Venerable, judged to be linked to that invocation.

Why that counted as sanctity

A poor girl taught to trust God who founded sisters for children and the sick.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
