Who they were

Clemente Marchisio was born at Racconigi on 1 March 1833. A tireless priest, he served as curate at Cambiano and Vigone and then for 43 years as parish priest of Rivalba.

Without neglecting his parish, he founded and led for 28 years the Daughters of St Joseph, devoted above all to the Eucharist. He died at Rivalba on 16 December 1903.

The miracles

The Dicastery's biography does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

A country parish priest who founded sisters devoted to the Eucharist.

The cause

Clemente Marchisio has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Daughters of St Joseph: their founder Blessed Clemente Marchisio.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
