Who they were
In Abruzzo, Saint Cetteus or Peregrinus, bishop of Amiternum, who, at the time of the Lombard invasion of the region, falsely accused of having betrayed the city, was condemned to death and drowned in the river.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 13 June as a bishop of Amiternum falsely accused of treason and drowned.
