Who they were

The decree on martyrdom lists her among the Daughters of the House of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity and says that she too belonged to the Madrid community. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

Named in the decree on martyrdom among Manuela del Corazón de Jesús and twenty-two companions of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity killed in Spain in 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
