Who they were

At Carrara in Tuscany, the death of Saint Ceccardus, bishop of Luni and Sarzana, who, wickedly killed by some stonecutters near the marble quarries, was held to be a martyr.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 16 June as a bishop of Luni killed by stonecutters near the marble quarries and held to be a martyr.
