Who they were
Casimira Gruszczyńska founded the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Suffering; she was born at Kozienice (today Poland) on 31 December 1848 and died there on 17 September 1927. Pope Francis recognised her heroic virtue on 9 April 2022.
