Who they were

In the village of Torrent in Spain, Blessed Carmen García Moyón, martyr: a fervent teacher of Christian doctrine, during the religious persecution she was raped for her faith in Christ and burned while still alive.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 30 January as a fervent catechist burned alive for her faith in Christ at Torrent during the religious persecution.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
