Who they were

Carmen Fradera Ferragutcasas was born on 25 October 1895 at Riudarenes, Girona, entered the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Heart of Mary on 2 July 1921 at the novitiate house in MatarĂ³ and made her religious profession on 2 February 1923, then taught in the Institute's school at MatarĂ³, where she had charge of the infant school and was admired for the patience, charity and great love she brought to her teaching. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI with her two sisters.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Dicastery records her devotion to the small children in her care and her love of the Eucharist.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
