Who they were

A Brother of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, in the world Dalmatius Bellota Pérez, born on 22 November 1908 at Capillas de Campos in the diocese of León. He was admitted to the Institute in 1920 and made his perpetual vows in 1933, and he was a teacher.

He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, one of Teodosio Rafael and his three companions of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree on martyrdom names him among Teodosio Rafael and his three companions killed in 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
