Who they were

In the city of Hirado in Japan, Blessed Camillus Costanzo, priest of the Society of Jesus and martyr, who, condemned by the supreme commander Hidetada to be burned alive, never ceased preaching Christ even at the stake.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 15 September as a Jesuit priest burned alive at Hirado who preached Christ even at the stake.

The cause

Camillus Costanzo has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Jesuits: Blessed Camillus Costanzo.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
