Who they were
Commemoration of Saint Bretannio, bishop of Constanța in Scythia, in present-day Romania, who, under the Arian emperor Valens, whom he strenuously opposed, was distinguished for wonderful holiness and zeal for the Catholic faith.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 25 January as a bishop in Scythia who strenuously opposed the Arian emperor Valens.
