Beregisus
Who they were
Beregisus was a priest, probably born around 670 near Emptinne in the Condroz region (modern Belgium), who trained at the monastery of Saint-Trond and became a chaplain trusted by Pepin of Herstal. At the end of the 7th century Pepin promoted the settlement of a religious community in the forested Ardennes, and charged Beregisus with founding it on the stream called Andage, traditionally dated to about 687; he built and organised this first community.
He led Andage for roughly a quarter of a century, receiving gifts and donations from the local nobility, and tradition links him with friendship for Saint Hubert of Liège. The year of his death is uncertain, variously given as around 724, 725 or 742, though he was still alive in 725. After his death the community was reorganised under Benedictine rule, and once Hubert's relics were brought there in 825, Andage became known as Saint-Hubert. His feast is 2 October.
The miracles

Why that counted as sanctity
