Who they were

At Gavello in the Veneto, Saint Bede the Younger, monk, who, after forty-five years spent in the service of kings, chose to serve the Lord in a monastery for the rest of his life.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 April as a monk who, after forty-five years in the service of kings, spent the rest of his life serving the Lord in a monastery at Gavello.
