Who they were
Arsenio de la Viuda Solla was born at Valdespino de Vaca on 19 July 1880 and made solemn profession in 1910. He was killed in 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him on 18 June 2022.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
He was put to death in 1936 in the persecution in Spain, and the Church recognised his death as martyrdom.
