Who they were

At Bricherasio near Pinerolo in Piedmont, Blessed Antonio Pavoni, priest of the Order of Preachers and martyr, who, as he was leaving the church where he had just preached against heresies, was ferociously slaughtered.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 9 April as a Dominican priest and martyr killed as he left church after preaching against heresies.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
