Who they were

Angela Ginard Martí was born at Llucmajor, Majorca, on 3 April 1894, daughter of a captain of the Civil Guard, and was baptised two days later.

As Sister María de los Ángeles of the Zealous Sisters of Eucharistic Worship she taught children to pray and the catechism. She was martyred in the Spanish Civil War in 1936.

The miracles

As a martyr she was beatified without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

A sister devoted to the Eucharist who died a martyr in the Spanish Civil War.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
