Who they were

The Roman Martyrology remembers him in the monastery of Santa Maria della Serra in the Marche as a priest of the Camaldolese Order and a martyr, a strenuous defender of the observance of the Lord's day.

He was beatified on 27 September 1842 by Pope Gregory XVI.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

He died a martyr as a strenuous defender of the observance of the Lord's day.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
