Who they were

Ángel Pérez Murillo was born at Montanchez, in the province of Caceres, on 6 June 1915 and made his first religious profession as a Claretian on 24 October 1932. The Dicastery's list of the Spanish martyrs records his death on 28 July 1936, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

He was twenty-one years old when he was killed on 28 July 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
