Who they were

This entry is about Blessed José Trinidad Rangel Montano, a diocesan priest, together with Father Andrés Solá Molist, a Claretian missionary, and the layman Leonardo Pérez Larios, who were shot together on 25 April 1927 near Lagos de Moreno during Mexico's religious persecution. They were beatified on 20 November 2005.

Andrés Solá Molist was born on 7 October 1895 at Taradell, near Barcelona, to a family of poor farmers, and joined the Claretian missionaries in 1909. Ordained in 1922, he was sent to Mexico the next year and worked as a teacher and preacher, later serving the faithful in León despite the persecution. Arrested on 24 April 1927, he was shot the next day together with his two companions.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

Claretian missionary priest shot with two companions near Lagos de Moreno during Mexico's religious persecution; beatified 20 November 2005.

The cause

Andrés Solá y Molist has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Claretian General Postulation: Blessed Andres Sola Molist.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
