Who they were

At Siena, Blessed Andrea Gallerani, who visited and consoled the sick and the afflicted with care and gathered the Brothers of Mercy so that, as lay people without vows, they might serve the poor and the sick.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 19 March as the founder at Siena of the Brothers of Mercy, lay people serving the poor and the sick.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
