Who they were

At Pistoia, Blessed Andrea Franchi, bishop, who, as prior of the Order of Preachers, after the epidemic of the Black Death had ended, brought back the observance of discipline in the Order's convents of this region, and in his city approved the Confraternities of penitents in order to foster peace and mercy.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 26 May as a Dominican bishop of Pistoia who restored discipline after the Black Death and fostered peace and mercy.

The cause

Andrea Franchi has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Diocese of Pistoia: Blessed Andrea Franchi.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
