Andrea da Fiesole Scoto
Feast: 22 August (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
According to acts written in the fourteenth or fifteenth century, which Butler calls worthless, Andrew was a young Irishman who went to Rome with his teacher St Donatus. When Donatus was made bishop of Fiesole, he ordained Andrew deacon and made him his archdeacon; Andrew is said to have restored the church of St Martin there and founded a monastery.
The same legend gives him a sister, Brigid, also venerated near Fiesole, who was said to have been carried miraculously from Ireland to his deathbed. Butler notes that the life of Donatus does not mention any Andrew.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
Remembered at Fiesole as the Irish archdeacon of St Donatus.
