Who they were

André Grasset de Saint-Sauveur was born at Montreal in Canada, a canon of Sens cathedral, according to the papal letter that beatified him.

He was killed in Paris in September 1792, one of 191 priests, religious and laymen put to death in hatred of the faith for refusing the oath that the revolutionary government demanded of the clergy. Pius XI declared them Blessed on 17 October 1926.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

One of the martyrs of September 1792, killed in Paris for refusing to betray the Church.

The cause

André Grasset de Saint-Sauveur, fils has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Archdiocese of Montreal: Blessed André Grasset.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
