Who they were
The Roman Martyrology remembers Blessed André Fardeau, priest and martyr, guillotined at Angers in France in hatred of his priesthood during the French Revolution. He was beatified on 19 February 1984 by John Paul II, among Guillaume Repin and ninety-eight companions killed in hatred of the faith in 1793-1794.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology says he was put to death in hatred of his priesthood.
The cause
The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.
