Who they were
At Orléans in Gallia Lugdunensis, now in France, Saint Aignan, bishop, who, trusting in God alone, whose help he often obtained by prayers and tears, freed his city when it was besieged by the Huns.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 17 November as the bishop of Orléans who, by prayer and tears, freed his besieged city from the Huns.
