Aibert
Benedictine monastic and hermit
Feast: 7 April (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Near the monastery of Crespin in Hainaut, in present-day France, Saint Aibert, priest and monk, who every day recited the whole Psalter in solitude, kneeling or prostrate on the ground, and ministered the divine mercy to the penitents who flocked to him.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 7 April as a priest and monk who recited the whole Psalter daily in solitude and ministered divine mercy to penitents.
