Who they were

At Avignonet near Toulouse in France, Blessed William Arnaud and ten companions, who, united in the work of opposing the heresy of the Cathars, were arrested by a trick on account of their faith in Christ and their obedience to the Church of Rome, and died run through by the sword on the night of the Lord's Ascension, while they sang the Te Deum with one voice.

Among those named is Blessed Adhemar, a cleric.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 29 May among Blessed William Arnaud and ten companions, killed by the sword at Avignonet for their faith in Christ and their obedience to the Church of Rome.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
